Hi there,

I'm Jamie. I'm originally from the north west of Scotland on the beautiful Isle of Skye. Although...even more originally, from Bangor in North Wales. I have now laid my hat in North Yorkshire.

My word! What a beautiful place Yorkshire is. Ive only recently moved to the area and visited a number of times in the past. Still getting to know all the nooks and crannies though! Its the crannies that are the hardest to learn! 

I am primarily a Landscape and Nature Photographer.  The wilderness that lies outdoors is what really stokes my chimney. It gives me endless inspiration throughout the year, not just in spite of the weather, but because of it. Its really humbling to stand in a thunder storm or to feel lost in an area you've never explored before. It keeps me feeling grounded and reminds me that I am a puny human standing on the shoulders of giants. On the other hand, its also incredibly rejuvenating to wake before the sun and see the world in it's pyjamas. Everyday has its rewards and its frustrations. Perserverance is the key. Keep at it, keep watching and sooner or later you'll see the very best of what nature has to offer...and if you're lucky, you'll be ready. Thats the game. The pursuit of beauty. The search for harmony amongst chaos. 

I have been published by The National Trust, a handful of Photography magazines, various websites and everybody's granny after a wedding.
